Beginner to advanced levels: Classical/Traditional, Jazz, and Popular styles with a heavy emphasis on the basics and good literacy skills using a whole language approach encompassing theory, improvisation, and performance. Whole Music LLC is dedicated to the idea that musical practice should be FUN and USEFUL, but at the same time not to water down the practice as is too often done by teachers today. We like to tell everybody that we focus on "The 4 B's: Bach, Blues, Beatles, Broadway" - A wonderful cross-section of our musical language and a great launch pad to learn an all encompassing repertoire to be proud of.

Voice:

Isaac grew up around singing. His mother, a renowned vocalist has performed on Broadway, and all around the world. She was even on Ed Sullivan! Many Vocal teachers hold off until students' voices change before there is any strong emphasis on technique and literacy. We say: WHY NOT START EARLY? We believe that basic ear training, breathing, resonance, and delivery can be taught at any age if done appropriately, and the benefits to ANY application are immeasurable. Even if voice is not the students' first choice, having a basic understanding of some related concepts feeds creativity and confidence on ALL levels. Isaac also brings to bear his strong accompaniment skills and years of experience as an actively recording, performing professional to help students develop at the highest level and most musically relevant way possible.

Composition, Music Production:

As a Berklee College Music Synthesis major Isaac has had experience with all kinds of music technology over the years, and grew with the technology as it evolved. Lessons can take place at Isaac's studio in Manhattan, featuring a Mac Pro running Logic, High-end audio gear, and vintage instruments, including live drums, bass, acoustic guitar, piano, and a venerable, original MiniMoog. We can also provide a laptop and a portable keyboard to produce music anywhere and anytime.
